Can codingame calculate cycle time for your code ? Maybe a way to rank submission with the same number of turns might be how many CPU cycles your code take.

I have no ideas how the >30000ms shows up because the first turn time limit is 3000ms and the following turn is 100ms. I can check it out in detail if you can provide more information about your original code. Thx very much for mentioning this odd issue. *v*

Sounds really interesting but there is a bug When I launch a double for loop BEFORE the while, it works (get only 1 turn), but if I launch it in the while, it turns forever: it's a grid with 1 list containing 4 lists with 4 elements inside. before the while : it's ok, after the while, it doesn't work (turn infinite time never play the print("2,3") written under for i in liste: printE(i) for j in i: if j.value==0: printE("found 0 on "+str(j.x)+" "+str(j.y)) break print(2,3)

Thx for commenting! I accidentally forgot to delete an outdated function of the starting code. Now the game loop no longer waits for an input. With the new template it should be working properly :P

I suggest ROT13 encoding the hints and saying that they can be unencoded using ROT13. This helps people who don't want them not accidentally read them

I like your contribution and I have two suggestions: 1. Spelling inside the code: - currunt -> current - 1th -> 1st - 2th -> 2nd 2. Make a test/validator, where the 0 is not initially in the bottom right corner.

I think the game needs to be sequenced. Maybe 4x4 first. And then 6x6, 10x10. If you can do that, the difficulty will gradually increase. I think people will like it more.

Great suggestion! Your idea will be really helpful if i plan to make this project bigger. Actually, This kind of problem has a wield difficulty curve, where the greatest gap lies between the 3x3 problems and the 4x4 problems. The logic behind the 4x4, 5x5, and bigger-sized problems are similar, but the latter requires significantly more code. Considering simplicity, I believe that keeping the map size constant can make the coding process less painful while the overall difficulty won't change that much.

It looks to me like the auto-generated code is expecting the puzzle to be sent on 16 separate lines, whereas the sample input given in the description uses 4. I suspect that the server-side code is sending 4 lines. Here is the Haskell code that I got: replicateM 4 $ do replicateM 4 $ do input_line <- getLine let tmp = read input_line :: Int -- A[i][j] return () return () Edited to add: In addition, it appears to generate code to read a turn counter, which is also inconsistent with the description & server code.

I can confirm that this puzzle is more difficult than its predecessors. My backported solution solves the example case but times out for the others except one. Your puzzle has a big design issue: there is only one test (much easier than the validators) versus 8 validators. People will solve the test and fail the validators without any clue. Therefore, the puzzle is not well balanced. How much time do we have to solve the puzzle ? Are you sure you need an input for each turn ? https://www.codingame.com/... does not require one.

I have overwritten three randomized test cases by three test cases that specifically randomized only the last two rows. Now the difficulty curve should be more reasonable. Also now you don't need to input an integer for each turn. I loosed the time requirement a bit, and currently the time limit for the first turn is 3000 milliseconds, and for other turns is 100 milliseconds. I will fix the statement a while later : P Thx for your great suggestions : D

Very similar to this one https://www.codingame.com/... too. However, your graphics are much nicer, so this is a real improvement. IMHO, your statement is much much too wordy compared to their predecessors and will only confuse people.

I will deal with that soon : D The length board's short side actually matters a lot for this kind of number puzzle. If the board has a width of 3 blocks, then the final row will only have two blocks in the fully ordered state, meaning that solving the second last row will lead to an instant win as the last two blocks in the final row are automatically ordered (if not there will be no solution). But in the case where the board has a width of 4 blocks, the solving last two rows require much more strategies. So technically my puzzle is a harder version, if, hopefully, I do the math correctly :P

But in the case where the board has a width of 4 blocks, the solving last two rows require much more strategies. So technically my puzzle is a harder version, if, hopefully, I do the math correctly :P
