(Upvoted) Nice game, nice graphics, love that getting started us super easy! Suggestions after playing a bit (in priority order): 1. Bot strategy can be vastly improved if in addition to the current data, the turret and action (FIRE or HOLD) is also sent. Imo, without turret + action info there will not be advanced bots made. 2. Having a max rotation (tank and turret) per turn, like CSB seems reasonable 3. Have the turret and tank rotation work the same, both be relative or both be absolute.

I think in testing we might find that turret rotation and if fired might be a needed input, just because we have less turns than robocode. I had a pretty good wave surfing bot for dodging bullets, but it only became 'perfect' after about 1000 turns. I guess we will see what people think. I am also thinking about keeping it at 1v1 as opposed to 4 player, so as to allow more turns. Could possibly do 1v1 with 2 tanks each

Little busy with work, but whenever I get around to the next upload, Already Changed for next upload: heading now given between 0 and 360 all angles given/taken as degrees balanced starting positions for 3/4 players new league with some walls/barricades Future: selectable bullet size (changes cost and dmg) ramming / shielding

Im thinking leagues would be: 2 tanks 2 tanks with walls/ramming 2-4 tanks with selectable bullet size and shielding

Remind me that game : https://robocode.sourceforge.io/ I try a little and : - i cannot get the 75 last hit bonus - if 2 tanks are on the same position, only one will be hit by a bullet - do we know bullet speed ? some suggestions : - it would be nice to have score and energy visible during the replay - clamp the heading input between -pi, pi or 0, 2pi - change starting position. tanks in the middle are a bit disadvantaged

Looks nice. Bright wallpaper would improve contrast. On dark, tracks and bullets are hard to recognize

Currently need some help, I need to speed up my referee a bit so that I can give the players longer turns and or more turns. I know how to program Java, but have no clue how to optimize it :)
