Sofia Labs Coding Challenge

Here’s your update from mission control: the year is 2442. The once beautiful city of San Francisco is now in ruins. You need to race through the post-apocalyptic landscape in your speedy pod. Only the best developers will see their names appear on the leader board. Will you be among them?

Amadeus Sofia Labs is launching this exciting 10-day challenge in Sofia, Bulgaria. The race opens on 01.04.2021 but you must complete your entry before time runs out on 11.04.2021 at 23:59.

Play, practice and demonstrate your amazing skills as you challenge the other participants. And don’t forget to have fun

How it works

This contest is a multiplayer AI programming competition for which you will have 10 days to develop an autonomous bot able to play a given game. Challenge your friends and see how you stack up against fellow coders!

This challenge is only available for users in one of the European countries listed in the registration form.

The contest begins on April 1st at 00:01 CET and will end April 11th at 23:59 CET.

The ranking will be calculated using a TrueSkill-like rating system. New games will be played with the participants' submissions on each new submission. Participants may submit as much as they like.

1Select one of 25+ languages here.
2The code editor, some default code will be provided to get you started.
3Control the game action here or with the keyboard.
4Press the gear icon to open the viewer’s options.
5The game’s statement, scroll down to read the rules.
6The console, a turn by turn display of all outputs.
7Press PLAY MY CODE to run your code against the test AI.
8Press TEST IN ARENA to launch ranked battles against other participants.
You can test as much as you like!
9Press DELETE to remove an AI from the test area.
10Press the PLUS button to add another participant AI to the test area.

There are 25+ languages to choose from to implement your solution during the contest, so go for your favorite or try a more exotic one!

Easy to enter, harder to master

It only takes a few minutes to come up with a basic solution and start having fun!

All along the competition, you will be able to improve and fine-tune your bot as much as you like, whenever you like (the contest is open 24/7).
