You don't send error message on timeout because illegal action. For exemple I don't get why I timeout here even if I have 6 energy : https://www.codingame.com/... Ok I got it, I transfered 2 of my energy to my opponent, but I'd have appreciated an error message to show what I did wrong

I think there is a need for clarification on the rules, as it starts with Three different cases: The win: 1 point The defeat: 0 point Disqualified: -1 point Then it says touching the opponent and moving the opponent out of the piste is worth 1 pont. I assume there will be multiple rounds, and each round you can either win/lose/be isqualified, and the win or loss is decided by the points earned by touching/moving outside/etc., but somehow differentiating the to types of points would help understanding the issue

There are two scoring systems: - scoring rules in the fencing game. - and scoring rules for codingame leadboard (undocumented in most games). these rules are for the CodinGame: * The win: 1 point * The defeat: 0 point * Disqualified: -1 point (the game is stopped: illegal output, timeout) I will change the documentation for the next release.

✅ Approved the contribution. Comment: This game follows a similar concept as "rock paper scissors" but more interesting. There are multiple ways to win. One thing I did not particularly like was the fact that the field is too long 500; 400-460 would be more interesting to balance the energy discharge.

Criticals: PARRY_DRUG doing nothing just consuming energy. In error output you can see 2 lines - first is me, second one is opponent. Other drugs seems to be consumed properly (stats are updated), haven't tested whether they are working tho: https://www.codingame.com/... Overdosing results in draw instead of opponent win: https://www.codingame.com/... (maybe) Nice to have: One last improvement I would consider is ability to make my moves shorter if drug for that movement has been consumed (WALK, DOUBLE_WALK, RETREAT, DOUBLE_RETREAT) So that I can go to any distance from interval: [WALK, WALK+walkSkill]

hi I can't see the games' replay unfortunately. I think is a limitation of the pending games. I will add unit tests for theses issues. Actualy I haven't reproduce yet. I like the proposal but is too late for me: A new feature generate many tasks (stub, doc, code, test, boss, fix). And I'm busy> __ <: I'm implementing an interactive version of the game on Android. And I have to finish the Bosses > __ <. ++

Hello marcgardent, some comments : 1) in the statements, penalties (-1 in the score) are not loose conditions, so you need to move this part of the statement in the rule part 2) with the existing command of the game, I am afraid that a strategy of "BREAK" and "LUNGE" when dist < 40 will never lose (cf nierin bot) in that case, the game is solved !!

thx a lot for the review. 1 - the penalties don't decrease the score in the game: but it's the final result for the leaderboard. I will change the sentence: * "In some cases, you receive a ranking penalty (-1)" -> * "In some cases, you can lose the game in the following conditions" 2 - I will test BREAK+LUNGE strategy against nierin. But Null-Null is lose - lose : -1 for both.

It's seem that all the old IA made by other people are now dead because the referee no longer accept numbers as actions, you should make a new IA for testing, the actual "boss 1" isn't even trying, and I didn't see any other IA to play against. (Or maybe you can also accept numbers as actions as well as text to bring back the olds IA)

Olds IAs are not suitable even if the referee accepts numbers. But now, in league1 you can play against trictac and me.

I released the "RC1", with league 1, 2 3! My and your in the stub is confusing. Remove my and use Enemy for the enemy? - Tooltips would be nice. - Energy as a text is easier to read than that line. - Missing statement about how much time a player has Other than that, looks fun :)

Hi, cool idea. I suggest you make the referee understand commands BREAK, WALK, RETREAT, LUNGE, PARRY so the player can output these and not codes. Lose conditions are not cleat, what happens if the player runs out of energy? Is "long" the same as "Lunge_Range"?

Why not for understandable commands :) And yes, Lunge_Range is the old name, sorry^__^. isTouchedWhenAttackDefense(strikerPosition:int, defenderPosition:int) -> (defender + PARRY_LONG)+ (striker + LUNGE_LONG) > 500; isTouchedWhenAttack(strikerPosition:int, defenderPosition:int) -> (defender) + (striker + LUNGE_LONG) > 500; out of energy is not a condition for the end of the game. just you miss an opportunity for a break.

There are a few things unclear to me: * postures: what is the intended usage ? * longs: what is the difference with moves ? There is no penalty for running out of energy or going outside the boundaries This looks very much to me like a rock/paper/scissors game.

Yes, as it stands 'posture' is totally useless. Perhaps 'long' is a distance? Though for what purpose I'm not sure.
