This looks really cool, my Lazzie made it home safe! I like the openness of the game, and the kind of 3d look (I think it's called 2.5D?). Thanks for sharing!

My Lazzie made it home safely, great job! :D Some might say it's the little brother of "The labrynth", but I see it more as ideal training for learning fog of war and dynamic A*, without ending up sweaty from a toxic countdown! :)

Could this be expanded? - maybe pick up kitties along the way? - get treats to speed us up? - new tile type: minor inconveniences that slow us down, but might still be worth it for short cuts? Could this be a bot programming game? - not sure how the platform makes bot challenges and if such things can be offered through community contributions, but maybe we can race other kitties home! - or maybe we have 9 lives and kitty to make it home with the most lives wins and ties are determined by the time it took! Amazing game! Thanks for making and sharing it!!

Hello aCat, Thank you for this challenge, very interesting. Here is my review : ## Challenges * Transform relative coordinates to absolute coordinates * Implement a pathfinding algorithm * Deal with fog of war ## What I liked * Cool features for the rendering (Next steps preview, Zoom in / zoom out) * Fog of war * No coordinate * Nice maps * Perfect for (re)coding a A* from scratch in a new language ## What could be added * a global score that sums the number of steps of each map

Hello aCat, this version of my Lazzie is quite stupid but it outputs valid moves but makes the referee crash. Here are the replays and error messages for test 3 and 5. The first one I should handle after debugging; the second one is problematic as CG SDK @^$#&*#, - the viewer is already optimized, which took me several days, but this morning I had a new idea, which hopefully will work (in contrast to the previous optim idea I had :/) so it might fit in. I'll get to it next week, after COG .

* Please fix the following typos: Victory Conditions: enterance => entrance Input for the following turns: terain => terrain * Stub: Suggest to change "Make Lazzie" to "Help Lazzie". * Test-dependent turn limit: Could that limit be provided as an initial input? * Are all validators the same as tests? If yes, will additional non-test validators be set? Thanks.

Thank you as always - I will fix the typos later. I don't want to give turnlimit as input, in truth it is usually huge and does not matter for any reasonable algorithm. The only reason it is not always something like 600 is that if you wander too much the SDK can blow because of the replay size for some maps. As for the tests/validators, as I said there will be more - including validators-only. I just have to do other things in my life then continuing development of this puzzle currently ^^'.

My algo goes with a totally different way; I like that. Meant filling full map with fancy stuff wasn't pointless ^^'. BTW there are some 'easter eggs' on most of the maps, damn now I remember I forgot to put Jack in one of them , will need fixing in the future :P.

On the one hand, I would like to keep it as WIP forever to give me XP :P But I will probably keep it like that for two months and then go for approval before the semester starts in October. PS There is a sequel of this puzzle planned :P.
